Articles for conversation - #37

Is renting your clothing the solution to cleaner air travel? Why is safety not always the main concern when it comes to the internet? How often do you just write down your thoughts, and what are they for?

The video included in this post (3.) is about the idea of a “commonplace book”, where you collect your thoughts rather than your experience. This type of note taking is particularly connected to reading and can be a great exercise in building connections and meaning, but also in learning to express yourself better. How many times have you read something interesting, but never gone back to revisit it? This type of writing helps with this and can be a fantastic way of improving your own writing or general thought expression.

Here are the articles for this week’s conversation classes. Of course, you can still use these even if you are not taking conversation classes. I look forward to hearing what you have to say. Please let me know if you have any issues accessing these.

Try to note some new or interesting language that you see or hear in the articles or video and bring it to the class.
