Is this new vaccine the cure for cancer? Why are people using TikTok to replace Amazon? Why are some foods suddenly rising in price?

Three very different stories in this post. The first is about a “cancer vaccine” that hopes to target some specific types of cancer and is being trialled in the UK. Could it be the end to cancer as we know it?

The second article looks at how TikTok shop is becoming a more and more popular destination for online shoppers, and just how it has managed to build that success. The platform seems to have come out of nowhere to explode in popularity over recent years, now being one of the most used apps around the world. Could this business move allow them to grow even bigger?

Finally, a video on how the Italian mafia and tinned tomatoes might not be as seperate as we think. The rising costs of many foods have many people starting to look at just what is actually driving those costs. It is a crazy story, but one that might surprise you with how much of a link there really is.

Here are some interesting stories that I have found this week. With different topics, I am sure you will find something that is new and challenging for you. Why not use this as a chance to learn some new language?

Try to note some new language that you see or hear in the articles or video and bring it to the class.
