A company that had a previously shady record on how they used and handled your data, has just admitted that they are now hoping to “mine” your DNA data23andMe, seemed to appear out of nowhere and become one of the biggest names in their industry of DNA testing, but they are already facing a major problem in their business: Everyone who wants a DNA test has probably already bought one, and it’s not as though the data is going to change at any time. However, they are now hoping that they can use customer DNA information, mine it, and sell it to pharmaceutical companies. Is this ethical? Should this be allowed? Why would anyone want a DNA test in the first place?!

There is also the growing industry and science of lab-grown meat, as a solution to climate issues. Despite great advances in the technology, there are now some groups that are set on destroying the image of these companies. Why would some groups be against this? What would they gain? Is there really anything to worry about?

Lastly, a TED talk about boredom, and how it is misunderstood and mismanaged. How many times a day to you experience boredom? What do you do to stop this feeling? Is it a bad thing?
