Your 2023 Goals

Whether you are celebrating over this holiday period or not, you still have some time to think about your New Year’s Resolutions for 2023!

You have probably heard many people say that they would like to:

  • Exercise more

  • Learn a new skill

  • Save money

  • Get organised

There is nothing wrong with these, of course. However, most of us don’t consider the changes we would need to make to our lives. Most people will struggle to make one significant change to their daily lives - never mind multiple of these changes in one year!

If you have not decided on some goals for yourself… you don’t need to. For some of us, having a clear idea of something that you are working towards can help with achievements and progression. Studying a language gives you the perfect opportunity to set yourself an educational goal: a book to read, an exam, travelling, etc.

To make things easier for yourself, you can set clear and achievable goals. Here’s my suggestion to you all:

  1. Something you will do in the year — maybe you already have something planned?

  2. Something you can do in the year — not too difficult, but still needing some effort. Reading a book in the language you are learning?

  3. Something you want to do — the big challenge. The thing that you want to change for the year. Give yourself a challenge and work at it!

As a final note -

I wish you all a happy New Year! Thank you for being a student, a friend, a teacher, or anyone else that has helped me with this website and other projects. I hope you all have a great 2023 and that you continue to work on your English!
